A Funny Look at a Serious Issue
Health and Safety in the kitchen can often get on everyone’s nerves, despite a few obvious benefits like reducing accidents/costs and saving lives!
However, we're looking for examples where health and safety or food hygiene enforcers go over the top in pursuit of safety.
Example (Imagine this as a cartoon)
EHO: "Why aren't you wearing a hairnet?"
Chef: "I'm bald!"
This was a genuine example experienced by a chef we talked to. The comment we received from the chef was “Bit of common sense wouldn’t have gone amiss, but the EHO seemed to be lacking both that and a sense of humour”.
Well we want to show people we do have a sense of humour and can laugh at ourselves.
